Hi Ms. Allen:

This is the first time that I have visited your site. I hope you can help me. I have been on a quest for so long (seems like an eternity) to find a song that I loved as a teen back in the early 1970s. I finally found a site that list you as a singer of the song "Trying to forget" I listen to one of your songs on youtube and your voice sounds a lot like the voice I remember. The lyrics I remember are " I walk alone every day and I keep hoping you'll pass my way....etc, Looks like tomorrow's another day, if you were with me baby I wouldn't feel this way, trying to forget, but I haven't done it yet. I guess I'll have a drink, smoke another cigerette and think about the man, I'm trying to forget. Is this your song? Please respond, Thank you, Andrea

My woman for life! Velma is a world class artist who just didn't need o sing. She was so multi-talented it afforded her so many avenues to success. To her, I always thought that singing just wasn't prestigious enough to devote her whole life to it. I selfishly differed because I love the artist in her. On any stage, she's a standout. I sincerely missed a lot in my life. FREDDIE

Hi Mrs. Allen. I am a great fan of your LP "All About Love" produced by Al Hudson from 1983. I can`t find this production on your site. But of course it is possible that i have oversee this information. Is there any music from you in a similar style (other LP, 12"). Thank you for responding. Great music VEE. Kind Regards from Germany. Jochen

Dear Ms. Allen:

For years, I have wondered whether you were still recording. I am delighted that you have a new release and cannot wait to hear it.

However, I remember a simply beautiful release from the 70s that I have been lookng for that was played on WVON in Chicago. I believe it was entitled: I Can't Let You Go. Some of the lyrics are as follows:

I live and breathe everyday for you
Wherever you lead I will go
But this one thing you're asking me to do
I must say no
I can't let you go my love
I can't set you free
Anything else I'll do
I want so much to please you...

This lovely tune has remained in my head for years. I would love to have a copy of it. Is it available?

Thank you for your wonderful music!
